Tower Research Capital seeks a junior Quantitative Research Developer who would be in charge of assisting one of our quantitative research teams with a large number of development tasks and processes that spawn from the research work.
-- Responsibilities --
Improving and maintaining the daily market data pipeline, consisting of a large number of automated processes that transform raw market data into precomputed research quantities
Optimizing the existing codebase
Conducting and automating daily reconciliation (alphas, pnls etc), audits setup and/or maintenance
Developing and taking ownership of the next generation of tools for the quantitative research team

Job location is New York. You will spend your first year in our office in Paris. This will make you eligible for a US visa. Once granted, you will join our team in NYC.

2-6 yrs of experience in computer development.
Strong development skills in a variety of languages -- Python and Java preferred
Proficiency in a Unix computing environment; including bash, various command line tools, source control tools package management, job schedulers (examples: conda, git, Mercurial, crontabs, Luigi, Airflow)
Familiarity with C/C++
Ability to organize heterogeneous processes (i.e. refactor a large codebase, automatize in a largely autonomous fashion)
Good sense of software design
Ability to balance several tasks concurrently, intervene at different stages of projects, work without constant close supervision, and learn new tools and notions quickly
Basic knowledge of quantitative finance and statistics
Strong communication skills
Proficient in English
Preferred: exposure to cloud computing (Google Cloud Platform), GUI development (Qt)
